It’s been just about two years to the day that I first decided to start this blog, it’s crazy how fast it went by! Ready for a true story..I haven’t been the most consistent with how often I post or what topics I write about but this adventure has been everything I wanted it to be…a way for me to just say what I want and have fun writing. My approach has been pretty low key, I’m just going to say what I’m thinking and maybe someone will read it, and if they do…that’s really cool, right!
With that said I’m super happy to shift gears on this baby and share my new blog name and logo! I have always loved the name Burgers, Bikes and Beer because someone told me that if I was going to build a blog it better be created around my passion. So, when I decided to actually start I was like…what do I love…BAM!! Burgers, Bikes and Beer was born! BUT, here is one little problem…from day one people were always saying “is it beer, bikes and burgers? or bikes, burgers and beer? are they all plural?…or, what is it again?” Ya, I’m not Google smart or anything, but I’m pretty sure that people remembering your name is kinda important if you want them to actually find you.
Ta-Dah! Hubs and Hops is born (don’t worry, I own Hops and Hubs too so even if you get it backwards you will still end up in the right place..:) It just feels great and it seems to be coming together at the right time. Last week was one of the biggest weeks ever with over 35,000 people reading this blog from 17 different countries…who knew, right!? I’m just really grateful that anyone would want to read or find value in what I’m doing here (and can overlook my grammar..ha)..it’s fun and I really do love it. So I guess what I’m trying to say is thank you. It’s fun getting to know so many awesome people through the comments and emails and I can’t wait to see where this all goes in the next few years! I just came across your blog and it is great. I ran across it because alittle over a year ago my buddies and I started a little bike group which centered on riding to a bar to enjoy some good beers while putting in some good miles. Our group name we had come up with is Hops & Hubs!! well I will be reading your blog from now on because from the looks of it you share the same passions as we do.
